ENT NEWS: NBC suspends ban on Nigerian Artistes

The National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, has ordered the Broadcasting Society of Nigeria (BON) and the Independent Broadcasting Society of Nigeria, IBAN, to lift the ban imposed on all Nigerian artistes registered with the Copyrights Society of Nigeria ( COSON).

BON/IBAN banned the artists late last year after falling out with COSON over royalties of artistes.

These two rappers had beef for a long time, and actually made diss tracks for each other. Reminisce made two or three diss tracks for Vector, while Vector made one indirectly dissing Reminisce. Heard the beef started after Vector made a song with Saucekid and said something in the track Reminisce thought was for him, so made a diss track for Vector.

James Avery, the actor who played Uncle Phil in popular 90s sitcom Fresh Prince of Bel Air has died. He passed away yesterday December 31st in an LA hospital days after undergoing open heart surgery. He died from complications from the operation. He was 65 years old. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

Ent News: Burner Boy angry as Sean Tizzle Wins ‘Next Rated’

Music star Burna Boy exited The Headies 2013 on Thursday night when rising Afro pop star Sean Tizzle was announced winner of the Next Rated category.

The category has been chosen to honour the most promising musician during the period of nomination. The award comes
with a brand new ride. Sean Tizzle picked the award and got the keys to a Hyundai Tucson SUV.
As soon as Sean Tizzle was announced as the winner, Burna Boy left the venue, telling photographers including BellaNaija’s not to take his photos.

Some industry insiders at the event were overheard saying Burna Boy deserved the award more than his fellow nominees including Sean Tizzle, Dammy Krane, Seyi Shay and Phyno.

They went on to speculate that Burna Boy didn’t win the award because he is a GLO ambassador and the awards show is sponsored by a fellow telecommunications company MTN
Nigeria.
